ATLANTA — A man was shot dead outside an Atlanta adult entertainment lounge in what is the third incident in as many nights at restaurants and clubs in the city.
Atlanta Police say a fight inside Blue Flame Lounge off Harwell Road in northwest Atlanta around 1 a.m. spilled into the parking lot and that's when a man in his 20s was shot dead.
Blue Flame Lounge is no stranger to shooting incidents.
In March of 2021, police said a car stopped outside the strip club and opened fire in the direction of the establishment - striking three people. In September of 2020, two people were hit by gunfire after a fight inside. Just months prior to that, in February of 2020, a man was shot dead outside the club.
This latest incident comes a day after around 15 shots were fired outside Chic Lounge near downtown Atlanta. No one was hurt in that shooting. On Sunday night, nearly 30 rounds were fired outside Loca Luna in Midtown. One person was shot.

last commentI was in the area recently and wanted to check out some of the dark meat that Atlanta is famous for. I am too lazy to drive far, and Blue Flame Lounge was one of the closest options. I drove over there around 21:00. The area looked sketchy after dark, so I followed my Spidey senses and left. Lot of homeless hanging out around the off ramps and gas stations. I think if I went inside Blue Flame, I would have been like George Taylor on the Planet of the Apes.

I blame the rash of Atlanta 2amers on the closing of Follies. Now that the people of Atlanta no longer have Follies to satisfy their primal urges for cheap sex they are giving into their other primal urge for violence and turning Atlanta into the next Chicago. No wonder Buckhead wants out of Atlanta.

Crime rates are spiking big-time in many cities - strip clubs often attract a fair # of shady people - best to be cognizant of this especially on nightshift visits and in clubs that are a bit rough-around-the-edges
