Filled out FMM form online (https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/pu…), printed and signed it. Put down 2 nights for the duration of visit, Hotel Cascadas address, told him I'm going to Zona Norte when asked about where I was going and he stamped my FMM form and let me go without $30 charge. Maybe I got lucky to dodge the bullet? Idk.

Cost as of June 2021, $594.00 Pesos (appx U.S. $30) per person; FREE if the trip is 7 days or less and you cross by land

$30 does get you up to 180 day pass.

Right, but some ppl were saying how they were forced to buy that 180 day pass even if they were just making a visit for less than 7 days.
