CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Police say a Cambria County man was arrested after pointing a gun at another man in an Ebensburg hotel room where drugs were later found.

According to the Cambria Township Police Department, 30-year-old Jesse Lamer, of Mineral Point, is facing charges related to aggravated assault, drug possession, terroristic threats and recklessly endangering another person.

Police say they were called to the Red Carpet Inn Monday night and spoke with a man who claimed Lamer had brandished an AR-15 at him.

The man told police that he was lured to the hotel by a woman who promised him sex and $450 cash, according to the complaint.

When the man arrived at the hotel room, he said Lamer appeared with a rifle, pointed at his face and threatened to shoot him, according to police.

The man said he left the hotel room and called 911.

Police say Lamer denied pointing the gun at the man but did say that there was an unloaded AR-15 under the bed.

Police say the hotel room was registered to Lamer and officers found the rifle along with several rounds of ammunition and suspected methamphetamine in the room.

Lamer was taken into custody and is being held in the Cambria County Prison.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a Red Carpet Inn in the news!

I think that simple saying - If a deal seems too good, it’s probably fake. - in this case it could have become a deadly mistake. Meth and assault rifles can cause a situation to escalate and become dangerous.
