TAMPA — A man was shot to death early Friday morning at the Teasers strip club on N Nebraska Avenue, according to Tampa police spokeswoman Jamel Lanee’.

Police said the shooting occurred about 2:15 a.m. and that the shooter was still at large Friday night. They did not say whether the shooting occurred inside or outside the business.

The man who was shot died at a local hospital, Lanee’ said. His name and age were not released.

Business continued at Teasers Friday evening. Its parking lot was full of cars with out-of-state plates.

Several customers and bystanders told a Times reporter that they’d heard nothing about the shooting. An employee who answered the phone Friday said the business had no comment on the shooting.

Sad to hear a dude was killed. It seems like a basic rule - to get out of the club and parking lot - before it closes.

You ever read these and wonder how lucky you've been when you have closed clubs and nothing happened?

I was almost at a bar where that got shot up one evening. It wasn't a strip club, and this is going back to the turn of the millenium in the Chicago 'burbs, so I forget the name. It was one of my favorite places for the hot waitresses and shot girls, but a long damn drive. I called all of my friends but they were l working or otherwise occupied, so I went to my local pub.

Somebody got bounced for being too drunk, and came back with a shotgun. People died, starting with folks where I usually sat. I tried jogging my memory and finding the name of the name of the place or an article, but just can't find it.
