INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Indianapolis police are investigating after two men were shot at a strip club on the city's west side Monday morning.
Police confirm one died at the scene and the other at the hospital.
Neither man has been identified.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired around 2:30 a.m. at the Pony Club in the 3500 block of Lafayette Road near 38th Street.
Officers said a male customer was being rowdy and was escorted out of the strip club by a male security guard. They said the customer then went to his car to get a gun and shot the security guard.
Officers said the security guard was hit and taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
Police confirm the guard died in surgery.
Investigators say he was able to return fire that struck the customer.
The customer was pronounced dead at the scene.
