^^^^^ This should be the way to deduct the second half of your Adjusted Gross Income ( AGI ). But there are so many potential complications in this.

1. How do you own the property?
2. What restrictions of the property and does the recipient need to accept debt with it?
3. How close can you be to the charity which receives it.

Usually you want to donate something which cost you very little, but now has a certifiably high value. Can this be stock? Can it be a property bought by borrowing against it?
