I love to listen to that speach. His advisers did not want him to give that speech. It was totally off the cuff and RFK was not great at making speeches. A little known fact is that Indy was about the only large city where African Americans did not riot. It was because of the speech by RFK.

RFK did a very good job, announcing King's death to the black community, and in large measure picking up King's mantle, and winning the CA primary.
