GLENDALE, Colo. — A popular gentleman’s club was closed for an investigation Thursday night following an altercation that the Glendale Police Department said left a 48-year-old man dead.

Officers first arrived at Shotgun Willie's at 490 S. Colorado Blvd. just after 10:20 p.m., according to a news release. Police quickly found two of the men believed to have been involved in a fight, and called an ambulance when officers learned one of them was unresponsive.

That man was pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said a 27-year-old man who was also involved in the incident was released from another hospital with minor injuries.

The ensuing investigation prompted police to close Shotgun Willie's to process the scene, obtain witness statements and request video.

Police have not yet released the name of either man involved in the fight. It’s not clear if the 27-year-old will face charges as a result of the altercation.

No additional information was immediately available.

If I remember correctly, this is the second violent episode at Shotguns in less than two years. It's not in a bad area with the upscale Cherry Creek Mall less than 2 miles away. One of the nicest clubs in Denver metro area.

^ this is correct. Seems like i code tsbhave happened since they built the new building and added the Smoking Gun. I don't hang out at Shotguns much anymore, but it it seems since the Smoking Gun has been added, the bouncers and other staff have crazier stories about what has happened there.

The Smoking Gun is a pot shop where you can smoke weed there aftwr you buy. The only place I am aware of in Denver Metro where tbis can be done. You can smoke then go into Shotguns

Am I seriously supposed to believe that there is a high end strip club next to a marijuana dispensary? And you can smoke what you buy before going into the club? Holy shit, sounds like paradise. Except for the murders of course.
