LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police are investigating a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Monday morning.
The victim was found behind Platinum Dolls, a strip club on New Circle Road between Liberty Road and Winchester Road.
Police announced 24-year-old Austin Schooler was charged with assault following an investigation.
There was only one car in the parking lot when police arrived around 7:30 a.m. Investigators are still working to learn the relationship between the suspect and victim.
Police said the victim had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Lexington police.
