A man shot outside a Northeast strip club early Saturday was taken to a San Antonio hospital according to police on scene.

Officers responded about 2:50 a.m. to XTC Cabaret, in the 2000 block of Sable Lane, where a man was shot outside the club, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Officers said the two men were in a heated argument at a previous club, then left and went to the strip club.

The argument continued at the new location and both of them walked to the parking lot, according to police. The suspect then pulled out a firearm and shot the victim, officers said.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition.

Police said the suspect fled on foot. Officers said they will interview the victim for further information.
