I'm shocked that a strip club owner would use his profits to help lower the rent at another property he owns in order to help people be able to afford it.vdo you think this is actually what is going on or is it just that the rent is cheap because it is a shit hole hotel owned by the strip club next door?
I am not shocked that a strip club owner would own a run down business that has numerous code violations. Nor am I surprised that a strip club owner would look for a way to retaliate against a government entity that was trying to get him shut down and would be willing to throw disabled vets into homelessness to do it.
I think it's wonderful that a business owner would attempt to fight back against the city authorities. You shouldn't lose your rights in this country just because you own a business. Try to look at it from a different perspective: imagine that you've been living in an area for many years and then one day the city tells you and your neighbors that the area was never zoned for residential property, and that as a result you have to leave with no compensation. Would that seem fair to you?
@article: “"When they use you as political pawns to try and get their way, that's not an effective tactic," Jardon said. "It's a disgusting tactic.””
Oh, so only the government allowed to use people as pawn via its monopoly of power. Haha. Take that, G-man. Don’t tread on [the SC owner.] LMAO.
He’s fully within his rights to fight back and I’m glad he is. I hope he ignores the futile attempts the city is using to try shame him. The city’s stunt is not working. Weak.
SC,
To answer you title question, I don’t like landlords. I don’t like someone over me or someone I’m answerable to WRT my home & property. I’ll pay the extra so I can own it. Don’t tread on me.
I rent because I don't need a house anymore. I don't need the upkeep on a previously owned home or the tax breaks on new.. If the strip club owner was reasonable with his rent and upkeep, that's fine with me.
