BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBMA) — A man who was shot outside a Birmingham strip club died Monday morning at a local hospital. The victim, whose name has not yet been officially released, died after undergoing surgery. The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. in the parking lot next to the Palace Gentleman's Club on 3rd Avenue West. Shattered glass was on the ground near a car where the shots were fired. Birmingham Police said the victim appeared to be coming from the club when he was shot. Homicide investigators were waiting at the hospital hoping they would get a chance to talk to the victim to learn more about what happened. Police at the scene said they did not know what motivated the shooting. No suspects were in custody.
