Fort Worth police are looking for suspects in a shooting that left one man dead early Saturday morning after an altercation at a strip club in far north Fort Worth.

Omar Salazar, 24, was identified as the victim by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office. He was driven away from the scene by friends after he was shot at The Roxy Showgirls on Northeast Loop 820, according to police spokesman Daniel Segura.

Police responded to the shooting call in the parking lot of a restaurant in the 1200 block of NW 28th Street, where those friends stopped the car to call for help, just after 2:00 a.m.

According to Segura, his friends asked for an ambulance, and not police. Police also responded, as others had called in the shooting.

“[The friends] were very vague on details,” Segura said in an email.

By the time emergency medical personnel arrived, Salazar had died in the vehicle. He was pronounced dead by the medical examiner’s office at 2:32 a.m.

No one has been arrested in connection with the shooting, and there were no suspects as of Saturday morning, according to Segura.
