According to Bruce Chilton, John the Baptist and all of his followers, and Jesus, were practicing a kind of Merkabah mysticism, a precursor to Kabbalah. I feel that this makes the persona of Jesus much more understandable, as he is depicted in the 4 Gospels.
So some occultists then will always see anything to do with the Chariot as being of extra terrestrials. And this is further advanced in Revelations, with The Throne.
But everything in Ezekiel revolves around the number 4. In esotericism everything always depends upon numerical correspondences, so since Kabbalah is based on ten, we know that somehow it must also be coming out of Exodus.
