HOUSTON – Homicide investigators were along I-45 North early Tuesday after a driver was fatally shot inside his car.
According to Houston Police officers at the scene, they received a 911 call at about 2:30 a.m. Officers arrived and found the victim stopped in his car in the middle of DeWalt near I-45.
Police believe the man was shot after an altercation in the parking lot of a nearby strip club, and he sped from the scene.
The man pulled off the freeway’s frontage road and died.
Police say they do not yet have a suspect in the shooting.

HOUSTON — The Houston Police Department is investigating the fatal shooting of a man at a north Houston strip club early Tuesday. Officers responded to reports of shots fired around 2:30 a.m. in the back parking lot of the Fantasy Plaza cabaret on the North Freeway at DeWalt Street. When police arrived, they learned a man had driven his car around the corner and onto DeWalt where he stopped in the middle of the road and died.
Police are still searching for a possible suspect and motive. “We’re not sure exactly what happened,” HPD Lt. Larry Crowson said. “We’ve got some witnesses. We may have some video surveillance.”
