Two gunmen were killed early Saturday after they opened fire inside a Los Angeles-area strip club that has long been plagued by violence, police said.

Two armed security guards were also injured in the shooting at Xposed Gentleman’s Club in Canoga Park, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Police said the two people shot dead are considered the suspects. The two injured guards — who allegedly fatally shot the attackers — are in stable condition.

About 15 people were inside the nightclub when the shooting broke out around 4:30 a.m., officials said.

Police have not identified the suspects or the victims. No additional information was immediately released.

Residents have long complained about Xposed for both its reputation for violence and its X-rated billboards featuring nearly naked women.

In 2013, there was a shooting in the club’s parking lot. That same year, Los Angeles police tried to shut it down, citing multiple complaints about drug use and prostitution — but the motion ultimately failed.

Canoga Park is about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles.
