WINSTON-SALEM — A man died of a gunshot wound he sustained shortly before 3 a.m. in the parking lot of a strip club in Winston-Salem. Eric Jermane Pegues, 41, of 717 Aureole St., was shot in the parking lot of the Paper Moon Gentleman's Club on Salisbury Ridge Road about 2:45 a.m. today, police said. Pegues was taken to Forsyth Medical Center in a private vehicle, police said. He was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. This is the seventh homicide of the year for Winston-Salem, as opposed to three at this time last year. Police ask anyone with information to call (336) 773-7700 or Crime Stoppers at (336) 727-2800.
