An off-duty sheriff's deputy and two others were involved in a fatal shooting outside an Okaloosa Island, Fla. strip club early Wednesday morning.

A 27-year old off-duty Escambia County, Fla. Sheriff's deputy suffered a gunshot wound to the arm in a disturbance that started outside the Red Rose Gentleman's Club and spilled over to a parking lot across the street, according to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office.

Dustin Edward Jones, 32, of Valparaiso died after suffering a gunshot wound to the chest around 5 a.m. in the parking lot of a condominium complex off Santa Rosa Boulevard.

A third individual, a 21-year old Fort Walton Beach resident, was shot once in the leg.

Both of the injured were transported to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators are still working to determine the sequence of events that lead to the shooting. Police didn't release who fired the first shots, and if any suspects will be arrested.
