Man dies from strip club fight.

ST. PETE BEACH — A 35-year-old Seminole man died early Saturday after arguing about his bill and getting into a fight with a staff member at the Mermaids Gentlemen's Club located at 7500 Blind Pass Road, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says.

Deputies said a fight started when a customer "battered" a staff member at the club shortly before 3 a.m. That customer's friend, David Yost, joined the fight and began striking the staff member, deputies said.

Several other staff members jumped in to help subdue Yost, deputies said.

Someone called 911 to report an injured person. When deputies arrived, Yost was on the ground breathing but unresponsive. He was taken to Palms of Pasadena Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:53 a.m.

The Sheriff's Office is not yet releasing the names of other parties involved as the investigation continues. The office has not said if they have made any arrests in the case.

This is what happens when you run a tab and pay with plastic. End of the night comes, turns out you spent a lot more than you realized, and you wind up dead. Better to pay with cash as you go.

Could very well be he did not want to pay his bill – but SC staff is also known to charge bogus charges on custy's CCs - IMO they should have had enough staff to subdue the man w/o having to kill him (although I don't know all the details).
