AKRON, Ohio — A woman was shot and a man pistol-whipped outside an Akron strip club early Saturday.
The incident began about 2 a.m. in the parking lot of Dreamer's Cabaret on Brittain Road.
A man pointed a gun at a 24-year-old man in the parking lot and stole the man's identification. He then shot out the front driver's side window of the man's 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix, according to police reports.
The man pointed a gun at five other people — all between the ages of 18 and 26 — sitting in a 2010 Ford Focus.
The gunman demanded money from a 26-year-old year old man in the Focus and hit him in the head with a pistol.
He shot at the car. The bullet ripped through the front passenger side door and hit a 23-year-old woman in her right leg. She was taken to Akron General Medical Center for treatment.
