LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Lexington police are searching for two people after a man was shot outside a strip club early Tuesday morning.
Officers tell WKYT that a man was shot in the back around 2:30 a.m. outside Camelot West, a strip club on Alexandria Drive.
The manager of the club says when he locked up for the night and everyone was walking outside, a white Cadillac pulled into the shopping center and two people started firing into the crowd.
Two vehicles and a building were struck by the spray of bullets, according to police.
Investigators tell WKYT that a man was taken to UK Hospital with non life-threatening injuries after a man and a woman opened fire on a crowd.
The manager of the strip club says after a man was killed and another man was hurt several years ago in shootings at the strip club, they started beefing up security to try to keep it from happening again.
"I don't know who it was toward, I don't know what it was about but I can assure you it wasn't our staff, dancers or employees here in the club because we take extra precautions, we are trying to clean it up," Matthew Kelley, the club's manager, said.
The manager says for the past two years they have been increasing their security to cut down on crimes.
"We have bought metal detectors, we have patted people down as they come in. All the precautions have been taken so it's horrible that it happened out here in the parking lot," Kelley told WKYT.
Police are still looking for the shooters. They say they need the public's help to track them down. Investigators are hoping someone will call in with a tip that will lead to their arrest.

Those UK fans sure are sore losers.
