Safe clubbing gentlemen...

PATERSON — Eight dancers were arrested on prostitution charges at the Sunrise Gentlemen's Club this weekend, the same strip club near where a Newark police officer was shot and killed during a robbery attempt almost four years ago, NorthJersey.com reported.

The dancers charged at the club, which was shut down, are Sharon Serelio, 27, of Fort Lee; Tashika Wright, 23, of Bloomfield; Deidra Russell, 21, of Tobyhana, Pa.; Karen Carballo, 32, of Elizabeth; Cindy Perez, 22, of the Bronx; Jatnna Jimenez, 26, of Paterson; Natasha Polvac, 22, of Passaic; and Maercy Galva, 23, of Paterson. Authorities say the women offered sex for money in back rooms at the club.

The club's manager, Elena Mandelos of New York, was charged with maintaining a prostitution business.

On Nov. 7, 2011, Officer Michael Morgan, 32, a six-year veteran of the Newark force described as a rising star at the department, was fatally shot outside the club while escorting a female employee. Jerome Wright, a member of the Bloods street gang at the time of his arrest, is serving a 39-year sentence for the crime.

A "rising star at the department was fatally shot outside the club while escorting a female employee." Why do I think there's more to this part of the story that the media is not reporting?

NJ clubs are not worth the gas to drive to. I have tried clubbing in various parts of NJ and have never found any decent places. If anyone knows of good clubs in NJ post them so the next time I'm there I can try them.
