SugarDaddy's Gentlemen’s Club has been leaving fake parking tickets on windshields to advertise its services in Long Island City — to the ire of local drivers.
"People didn't know what it was and they were all upset," Queens Community Board 2 Chairman Pat O'Brien told residents Thursday, according to DNAInfo. "People thought the NYPD went on a rampage."
At first glance, the orange envelopes look like the same dreaded summonses issued by the NYPD. On closer inspection, they include a picture of a woman dressed in sexed-up police regalia, promoting a happy hour special at the club's 27th St. location.
Residents mistook the fliers for parking tickets and complained to the board after their cars were papered along 5th St., the board said.
The board said it realized they were advertisements after calling the NYPD to ask about the tickets.

SugarDaddy’s did not immediately respond to the Daily News’ messages seeking comment.
The ticket controversy comes two months after two exotic dancers sued SugarDaddy's for allegedly cheating them out of minimum wages and overtime.
It's not the first time people have used fake parking tickets to promote their cause.
In 2009, City Council candidate Joe Nardiello touted his campaign on orange envelopes left on cars in what was considered to be an epic political blunder.
