Three people were arrested after a man was beaten into unconsciousness near a Tampa strip club early Tuesday, police said.

Bryan Kendrick, 35, of Tampa; Crystal Love Morris, 33, of Tampa, and Adrian Lamar Sims, 42, of Clearwater, each face a charge of aggravated battery with great bodily harm.

Tampa police said they received a 911 call regarding a distubance at the Goodies Gentleman Club, 1933 E. Hillsborough Ave., about 2:55 a.m. A verbal argument there had continued outside the club, police said.

Kendrick, Morris and Sims chased 29-year-old Demetrius Haynes, who ran across the street to the Bank of America branch at 1948 E. Hillsborough Ave., police said.

In the bank’s parking area, Haynes’ pursuers caught up with him and knocked him to the ground, then punched and kicked him until he was unconscious, police said.

The police department’s air patrol spotted the incident and directed officers to the scene, where the suspects were taken into custody.

Haynes, who has no known address, was transported to a hospital with upper-body trauma. He was in stable condition Tuesday afternoon, police said.

Sims, who was on probation, was booked at the Hillsborough County Jail without bond, according to the jail website. Morris was released from jail after posting $7,500 bond. Booking information on Kendrick was not available.
