One man was shot through the arm at a strip club early Saturday morning but another escaped serious injury after he felt the bullet bounce off of his chest and land in his lap, police report.
Police responded about 2:34 a.m. to Cloud 9 at 4807 E. 31st St. to a shooting, Tulsa Police Capt. Cathy Reynolds said.
The victim was seated inside when a bullet, fired from outside the building, came through the exterior wall and went through his arm, Reynolds said. A friend of the victim seated nearby said he then felt the bullet strike his chest.
“The bullet lost all of its energy, so it just bounced off the second guy’s chest and landed in his lap,” Reynolds said. “That will make you say thank you … or I’d go out and buy a lottery ticket.”
The victim who was shot through the arm was taken to St. John Medical Center and treated for non-life threatening injuries, Reynolds said.
Police have no suspects in the shooting but did find a shell casing outside the strip club, Reynolds said.

A bullet bounced off his chest? That's Superman stuff.
