MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A South Florida Woman is in a coma and on life support after being shot in the back of the head during a shootout outside a Miami strip club, police said.
According to Miami-Dade police, in the early hours of Saturday morning, two parties got into a heated dispute inside Extacy Gentlemen’s Club at 23101 South Dixie Highway.
The argument reportedly spilled into the parking lot where gunshots were exchanged. Samantha Murphy, 27, was caught in the cross fire.
After several hours of surgery, Murphy’s family is not sure if she will pull through.
“The back of the skull was shattered and she has been in an induced coma and she is on life support,” said Paul Murphy, the victim’s uncle.
He said Samantha Murphy’s daughter just turned two on Sunday and that the toddler is too young to understand what happened, but she has been asking for her mother.
Police said at least three people were involved in the shooting but they don’t have anyone in custody.
Paul Murphy believes someone inside of the Strip club knows who pulled the trigger.
The family prays witnesses come forward and help put the shooters in jail.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-6160.

"Dump" seemed to be a common description.
When they opened as QT'S, they had a live band on Saturday, I think it was. Strange.
