A man in his 20s is in hospital with life threatening injuries after a shooting outside a Mississauga strip club early Saturday morning.
It happened in front of the Midway Invader near Dixie and Derry roads at around 2:30 a.m.
According to Const. Thomas Ruttan, two males were seen leaving the scene in a dark-coloured vehicle and a similar vehicle was later found abandoned on a ramp from Highway 410, though police have not been able to confirm whether it is connected.
“All I can basically say at this point is that a shooting took place,” he told CP24. “I can’t tell you what the specific information is because I am not privy to that yet. However, what I can tell you is that we have one male in hospital with very serious gunshot wounds.”
Ruttan said police have already spoken to a number of witnesses but are appealing to anyone else with information to come forward.
The forensic identification team is also on site collecting evidence.
"We are trying to determine who these fellows are that actually commited this crime and we are going to be tracking them down now," Ruttan said.

As I take it, the meaning is, no one is going to win a gunfight. They may think they can win one, but the probability is that they will be in very serious trouble. Self Defense is very narrowly defined. And people who are using a security job to bully and provoke, will not be tolerated either.
