TOLEDO -- Toledo police have released the name of a man found shot outside a Toledo strip club early Monday morning.
Rashad Strong was found laying on a walkway outside Palms Showgirls, 3835 N. Detroit Avenue, around 2 a.m. Police found him laying between the club's parking lot and entrance after being called out on a report of a person shot.
Strong was concious and told police he did not know who shot him. Investigators found shell casings in the parking lot.
According to scanner traffic heard just after the incident, police may be looking for a getaway vehicle described as a silver newer-model minivan with a dark-colored stripe along the bottom edge. Anyone with information on a possible suspect or suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 419-255-1111.
Strong was transported to Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center.

I guess if I am understanding these postings correctly then it is as these places are closing, at 2am, that people feel displaced and have no where to go, so trouble can break out. No good.
I spoke of wanting to be able to have a small motorhome in the parking lot. But that would be for the daytime only, not after dark.
At our local clubs I feel safe inside and out. But I prefer to park my car on the street, and not too close, because I am concerned about drunken drivers in the parking lots.
I would not want to be around one of these places after it is closed. For one thing, cops always patrol around them after they close. Probably better to get away from them well before closing time. As I think about it, rarely have I stayed until the last dance.
