YORK, Pa. (AP) - A prosecutor says a shooting death outside a central Pennsylvania strip club stemmed from an earlier altercation after the defendant and his friends were asked to move so someone could make a pool shot.
Twenty-five-year-old Derrick Johnson is charged in York County with first- and third-degree murder in the February 2013 death of 21-year-old Trevahn Kent in York.
Senior prosecutor Duane Ramseur said in opening statements Monday that the shooting stemmed from a fight that broke out a month earlier at Temptations after Kent's friend asked Johnson and his friends to move aside so he could keep playing pool.
Defense attorney Kevin Hoffman said the only witness who reported seeing a gun in Johnson's hand is a former co-defendant who is now cooperating with prosecutors

The club seems like a real dive – only 4 reviews – one in 2004, one in 2005, one in 2010, and one in 2013.
Some comments from the reviews:
“… This club is the worst of the worst. Unfortunately is the only strip club within the city limits. First of all is located in a terrible part of town. Right next to a soup kitchen where all these homeless and drug addicts hang out …â€
“… Now called Tempations. Avoid this club! About as bad of a neighborhood as it gets in York; five blocks west is fine, five blocks east is ok, but this joint is dead center in the worst stretch on Market St. There are signs all around about it being illegal to 'pass this sign more than three times between 9pm and 6am.' This can only mean there are serious problems of some sort in the area …â€
