According to the Jackson Police Department, a suspect has been taken to the hospital after shooting at security guards at a local strip club.
J.P.D. Officer Colendula Green said the 24-year-old suspect caused a disturbance inside Black Diamonds strip club around 1:40 a.m. Sunday morning. He was escorted out by security. According to Officer Green, the suspect went to his car, got a gun, and started shooting at the security guards.
The security guards fired back at the suspect and hit him once in the upper chest. The suspect was taken to an area hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Charges have not been filed against the suspect at this time. The incident will be sent up to the grand jury. J.P.D. is still investigating.
