Three people have been shot at Club Mirage in Brentwood Thursday morning.
We first learned of the shooting in the 4am hour when police were called to North Main Street.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says three people were shot in the hail of bullets when a gunman walked into the crowded club and opened fire.
Sgt. Bobby Lyle says three people were hit in the hail of gunfire. They were all taken to the hospital.
"Best we can tell from the interviews so far is that he just opened the door, and really didn't come in as a patron. Just started shooting into the business," Lyle says.
Investigators say one of the victims was a man, but have not released any further details on the victims. All of the victims are expected to recover.
"It sounds like he had an intended target, but the three people that were injured weren't intended targets," Lyle says.
They are actively searching for the suspect who ran away immediately after the shooting.
