Someone asked about after hour parties.

CORPUS CHRISTI — A club manager and doorman were suspected of being drunken after hours Wednesday inside Cabaret Gentlemen's Club, Corpus Christi police said.

Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission prohibits employees of a liquor licensed business from drinking after closing, said Senior Officer Julie Garcia, spokeswoman for Corpus Christi Police Department.

Another employee of Cabaret Gentlemen's Club in the 5400 block of Leopard Street reported she had been assaulted by employees, according to a news release.

When police responded the club's doors were locked.

Officers knocked, and a man's answered but he wouldn't unlock the door. When police knocked again the man tried to disguise his voice as a woman, the release said.

After some conversation police convinced the 45-year-old manager to open the door, Garcia said.

Both men were arrested on charges of suspicion of public intoxication, a Class-C misdemeanor.
