INDIANAPOLIS — Police say officers shot and critically wounded a man who fired several shots at them after he was thrown out of an Indianapolis strip club.
Officer Kendale Adams says no officers were wounded when the man shot at them when they spotted him walking along Washington Street on the city's Near-Westside late Tuesday. He says the officers chased the man for several blocks before he pointed the gun at them and officers shot him numerous times.
Adams says the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police say confrontation began when officers were called to Patty's Showclub, 2014 W. Washington St., on a report of the man being unruly and threatening to "shoot the place up."
