Police have charged a man in connection with a shooting in the parking lot of a Lexington strip club early Tuesday morning.
Police say the victim told them he got into an argument with a man in the parking lot of Divas on Russell Cave Road around 3:15 a.m. During the altercation, the suspect took the victim's gun and fired several shots, hitting the victim in the leg.
EMS took the victim to UK Hospital for treatment.
Police say the suspect fled in a car, and officers stopped him a few minutes later at Third Street and Bark Alley. Police took Jafari Moore, 31, into custody, and officers say they recovered the gun.
According to the Lexington Police Department jail website, police charged Moore with assault, robbery, wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and possession of a handgun by a felon.
