Yeah, Clubber, on a cold winter's night especially. I volunteer to keep Melon Girl's bed warm any time. I have to think the Brit's version that CT refers to doesn't come with any benefits. It reminds me of a few maids at some of the finer establishments I have stayed at, I have wondered if they did extras. Unfortunately, it never happened. Oh well

Actually, couldn't the bed warmers leave some hair behind? One's bed may be warm, but no longer clean then. Hard to see the bed warmer idea panning out here.

Couldn't the maids do this? What's the point of changing the linens then?

Back in 64/65 I was stationed in Japan. cassionally I wound up in a hotel with a bar girl/hooker. While we were in the bath house the momasan would be heating our bed the old fashioned way. A hot kettle. When we returned to our room tea and cookies would be waiting. Only draw back was I once caught the crabs.

Can't say I know personally, but I did hear at one time a company I worked for had a dorm facility at the headquarters. I understood that the maids earned a bit on the side when men were in their rooms during the day. The "fix" was a mass hiring of old lady maids.

Yeah, but Gator, I'd bet the maids would get solicited then.

Shadow, too bad about the crabs. Sounds very nice otherwise.

I would not mind getting the free 5 minute bed warming session but if they sent up two men to warm it up I would be pissed lol
