COVID and the toll on Talents and me
The article may be a little colorless and it will feel incomplete . Give it a thought and add some more , if you feel like venting out like me in comments .
When I was alone away from my family due to work Concerns, I always have an escape from lonesomeness and void l when I visit a men's club . The talents always kept me warm and provided me some comfort . I can at least forget my worries and be elated for an hour or so in clubs . Then came a day when that fire was snuffed out due to this Pandemic . It added a lot of stress to me and many more who lost their jobs due to lockdown .The below are my thoughts during the phase of Covid
COVID PART 1 : THE BEGINNING
I was also one of the many who didn't take covid seriously , I thought "we are in a much safer place , covid is not going to get to us" ( Really !!!) . (Everything below this is going to be sarcastic) Then it hit us with a peculiar offer which we couldn't refuse taking, with it the least amount of joy we had and put us through a rollercoaster of emotion and panic . With an added promotional wage reduction and a job loss bonus .
COVID - PART 2 : THE LOCKDOWN
With all the above benefits there came in a festival bonus where we get to spend time with our family/friends/roomies or lonely(Talking to the mirror) with much happiness for an extended amount of time without feeling hunger or any other emotions literally . And the best ROFL comes in when we think about paying bills and rent . ( Surcasm ends here )
THE TALENT
After thinking about all that, one day I was thinking about how it could have been nice if the strip clubs are open and the talents..... . That moment put me through a trance ( like Dr.Strange movie) and a new emotion took over me for the first time in me after months -EMPATHY . That moment , I started thinking what they were doing . Are they having a roof over their heads ?? . Do they have saved enough to feed them and their family,if they had any. ( You may ask everyone were going through the same, why only the talents -READ THE TITLE OF THE ARTICLE) . Since privacy and discretion were to be upkept , we don't share contact numbers . At the very least , if I had the contact number of the talent , we could have shared a normal meal or supported them in some way just for the sake of comfort they provided me . Why I felt the empathy , I don't know , may be because we are humans ( after all, part of the upper animal species ) with a sense more than the other animals .
ME - THE REALIZATION
Respect the talent always(if not already) they are human too . They have a family to support .They hustle to provide . Never think lowly of them because they give me/you comfort and feeding the animal side . Give them a genuine warm smile when, You see them . Stop treating them like something they are not . At the very least tip then good , they are putting up a facade to keep you entertained . Now the clubs are open , support them as they entertain you .
Stay Safe . Take Vaccinations . Let's get back on our feet and work our butt out to regain our shaken life's back .
