Stripper Cagefighting on my Birthday!

When I lived in Phoenix, AZ, my 29th birthday happened to coincide with Jaguar Gold Club's Thursday night Stripper Cagefighting! As a strip club connoisseur and MMA enthusiast, I thought this would be the best thing ever! I was beyond excited that it was happening on my birthday. I went with a group of friends. I got in free, but some of my friends had to pay. One of my friends almost didn't get in. When the group of us finally reunited inside, we found a seat in giant plush chairs with a tiny drink table. They had drink specials for $5. I don't remember what drinks were on special, but it was something I didn't like - probably beer or a vodka cocktail. My friends had a few and enjoyed them.
There were multiple tiny stages throughout the club, each with a single pole. And there was a cage in the middle of the club. It was still early, so it wasn't crowded yet. The dancers took turns dancing on the poles on the tiny stages. Many of them wore only heels and a g-string. All of them except one or two were very curvy. Some of them looked like they were too fat to climb the pole. Only a few of them out of maybe 50 dancers climbed the pole. A few of them came up and asked for table dances, but that's not really my thing.
One beautiful brunette with long curly hair came up to me and asked for a lapdance. It being my birthday, my friends told her to take me to the back. She took me to the back, which had space for maybe 20 lapdances. it was a long couch with each spot sectioned off by half-walls. So, not really private and not a lot of space. My friends bought me 11 dances. She rubbed her big, sexy bubble butt all over my lap in nothing but a g-string. It was pretty similar to friction dances I've gotten at other clubs.
When we came out, the show was about to start. She walked me back to my seat, and right after they asked how it went, the announcer got on the microphone, introducing two girls and welcoming them into the ring. Both were wearing cheerleader shorts and a tank top, and barefoot. One was from the Bronx and learned to fight on the street. The other was a local who was on the wrestling team in high school. After each one was marched around the ring for several laps, the guy that was leading them opened a bottle of vodka and poured shots into their mouths.
So we have drunk girls, who presumably are strippers at this club, but this was my first visit so I couldn't confirm that. They aren't wearing stripper outfits or trained in martial arts, but they are drunk. They got into the ring and went at it. After a few swings, they ended up on the floor. I started to wonder if the whole thing was staged, but not in a jello wrestling kind of staged. They weren't pretend-fucking under the guise of fighting. People in the VIP section (aka right up against the cage) threw hundreds, possibly a thousand dollars in $1 bills, making it rain over the top of the cage. The girls looked like amateur fighters in the ring. The wrestler girl tried to get Bronx street fighter girl locked into submission to tap out. This went on and on until we left at 3am.
Does this sound exciting to you? As someone who has competed internationally in martial arts tournaments, I thought it was a lame gimmick. But non-martial arts people seemed to be having the time of their lives. It's still fun to see everyone's reaction when I tell them the story. And now I can cross "birthday stripper cagefighting" off of my bucketlist.

This is more like a review for the club than an article, reaffirming why I’ll never step foot in that club.
