I've often been to this club...

I've often been to this club at 5pm after a day at the office prior to getting a train home after a couple of hours. However, on this particular night I was staying in London and so I didn't show up until 8pm. The place was very different.

First of all the clientèle changed from a mix of city suits and building site workers that look too tired to lift a pint to their lips. Instead the place was full of drunken louts, mostly in their twenties, who yelled constantly at anything and everything. You could sit six feet from the stage and still not see the girls when this crowd jumped up and started to go wild.

Secondly, the girls weren't up to the usual standard and before each dance they spent for ever and a day collecting a pound from everyone, because the place was bursting at the seams. They didn't miss anyone, even though it meant squeezing their way through the mob about half a dozen times and with people coming in and out that meant the gaps between dances seemed like an eternity. Even the girls from the lap dance area upstairs couldn't be bothered to do their usual tour touting for business.
