Based on a request, this is an overall review of many trips to the downer over the years - I would guess at least 25+ over the last ten years. I'm about a 4 hour drive away, so that should give an indication of my opinion right there. Probably made at least a dozen of those trips for bachelor parties over the years. On Friday/Saturday nights, particularly in the summer, the place is always absolutely packed by 11 or so, with waiting lines for the lap dance area. As a result, I usually prefer to get there around 8 to stake out seating and get some action before it gets too crazy. Many nights started at 8 or so and ended at closing time at this place, it's that fun. Weekend nights have more girls than you can keep track of, and regardless of your tastes they've got it there. Lap dances are $20 (CAD) - In my experience the best place to change your money is the casino if you don't wan't to spend USD (they'll take it, but no discounts for using USD). In the old days when the exchange rate was way higher, this was a bigger deal. It's still a 4-5% rate difference, so I still change my money over. Lap dances are full 2 way contact with grinding galore. Any extras here would be a rarity, although over the years takeout has been offered, but usually at $500 and up. The standard is just flat out great lap dances, and anyone like me who normally doesn't release due to a lap-dance is typically broken in here. A lot of girls put the hanky down in your lap - I know this isn't ideal, but the fact is she knows what she's going to do to you if you keep her for more than a couple dances. I'm not saying I've never had bad things happen here before such as dance miscounts by the dancer, the occasional case of what I call "meth-breath" (flat-out horrible breath I assume comes from some kind of drug usage), etc., but on balance, these are the exceptions and not the rule. In case of breath/BO issues it's easy enough to just pass them over for dances. I've also been here during the day-shift, not nearly as good, but the dances can be even better and you can still find at least a few girls that are hot enough to get dances from. Week nights are sort of in between the day-shift and weekend nights, and can be even better than weekends with less competition if the line-up is good (and in my experience it's usually been good enough on week nights, especially past 8-9). I've also eaten the buffet numerous times here, nothing to write home about but you won't get sick either. It's better than leaving to get food. In the old days you could go to the place next door (used to be Seductions) for serious extras, but that place closed down a while back (you can still hit one of the many massage parlors around, or go up to Toronto by the airport if that is a must have). My last trip there was back in April on a Wed. & Thurs. night. Still lived up to the standard (at least to me). The only way you could really be disappointed is if you are only in the market for extras. If you want hot women who are willing to give great dances to earn their money, great 2 way contact, and enough choice for the pickiest of guys, this is a great place. Just thinking about it while writing this makes me want to plan my next trip. Also - if you enjoy drinking heavily at clubs (which I do provided I'm not driving), there are plenty of reasonable hotels around, and you can get a reasonable cab ($15-$20) at either casino without any difficulty and they all know what you want if you simply say "take me to the downer." As a side note, since I don't live nearby, my trips are usually planned in advance and I'll save up some cash for the trip. I don't like to go in there without $500 or more per night - much more than my normal budget for clubs because I like to blow it out when I go there - I wouldn't have it any other way. And get a passport if you don't have one.
