Had my first-time experience at Mons the other week during a business trip. Not sure what I can add, but I agree that anyone in this hobby absolutely must experience this place, at least as a basis for comparison. It is a very specific kind of club, and what-you-see-is-what-you-get (in more ways than one).

I chose to visit on a weeknight after midnight, on the theory that the customer-to-dancer ratio would be relatively low. It was probably a bit over 1:1 when I got there, but by 1am the customers were thinning out rapidly (and the dancers started fleeing soon after that). I think that the $20 cover is fair, given that the club doesn't REALLY make money off the non-alcoholic drinks. (Even at $2 for a bottle of water, the mark-up doesn't quite equal what clubs in other cities make off of mixed drinks.) Spent some time stage-side to get the lay of the land. I highly recommend this--keep passing out $1's, look for someone you like, and just stand firm against the dancers who give you a hard sell. It's clearly a high-volume lap dance enterprise, so the ladies are just trying to make a buck or 20. I was surprised at the number of pairs who came up offering a 2-on-1--but they were priced accordingly, so I resisted. There were probably closer to 20 dancers on the floor, with 3 to 5 more on the stage at any given time. I'd say that they ranged in looks from a 6 or 7 to a 9.5. A LOT of them had a good attitude and knew that they were there to show the customers a good time, not act like cold fishes.

I agree with one poster below--it pays to NOT rush into a dance with a girl based just on looks. I got a 2-for-$50 from one who approached me pretty early on. She had a good attitude and good grind, but with enhancements and I'm not really into that. Plus, she was pretty aggressive about asking for a tip, which I don't like--a tip is something I should be offering voluntarily.
