As one of only 2 strip clubs in the state, PT's is definitely the place to go if you're in Maine. The atmosphere is classy, clean, and professional. The staff is all extremely nice and the girls are top-notch. I was impressed at the the wide variety of dancers they had- a little something for everyone. Not just the stick-thin "magazine pretty" girls with fake breasts. I've been to PT's a few times, both at night and during the day and I would have to recommend going during the day/ early evening (before 9 pm or so) because late night gets very crowded. The music is turned up very loud and it's nearly impossible to hear people talking to you. There are a ton of girls working, which is nice for variety, but the added competition means the girls are less likely to sit and spend time just talking or hanging out and there's more of a pressured "hustler" feel since they want to make a quick sale. Much less personal. The daytime is much better since the music is at a reasonable volume and there are fewer girls. However, the girls who do work during the day are the ones who know how to be attractive with their personalities and not just their bodies. Also, there are fewer bouncers on duty and they don't hover. The drinks are a little on the pricey side, but certainly within reason, especially for a "specialty club" like this. Plus, the bartenders are always hot and scantily clad. Unfortunately they recently raised the prices no private dances from $20 to $25 which I wasn't thrilled about, but after buying a lap dances from a few girls including a smoking hot asian chick and an adorable peppy blond girl, I was definitely glad I did. You get a lot for your money, so don't let the increased price keep you from trying it out. Same thing goes for the private champagne suites upstairs. At first i thought you'd have to be crazy to drop nearly $500 for an hour alone with the dancer of your choice. But then a buddy offered to pay for half as part of an early birthday present and I have to say now that I get it. If you choose your girl wisely, it can absolutely be worth every penny. The atmosphere upstairs is far more intimate and there's virtually no supervision or interruptions. You get to be a lot more up-close and involved and it also gives you an opportunity to get to know your favorite entertainer on a more personal level, which I find heightens the attraction considerably. Make no mistake, PT's is certainly not a brothel or anything. In fact, you will promptly be thrown out if you are caught engaging in elicit sexual activity or pressuring a girl to break the rules. On the other hand, it's definitely not a no-contact club and I always leave a satisfied customer (if you catch my drift). I have started to become a regular around PT's and would definitely recommend you stop by if you have the opportunity. You won't regret it.
