Chi Chis is located between downtown Phoenix and the main freeway. It’s not close to the airport or sports facilities, so it seems mainly geared to Phoenix locals. The latest remodel gives Chi Chis a more intimate and upscale look. There is a large center stage and two corner stages. Since I’m an afternoon customer, I haven’t seen the place with all three stages going. Chairs for the $10 floor dances are the typical wheelchairs you see in many places. Benches along the wall are more comfortable, and they’re used for $15 dances, the best value here. There are two VIP areas to help insure privacy. I think they’re $25. The men’s room is Las Vegas quality.

Last Saturday, they ran an afternoon drink special: draft beer, 2 for $2, which may explain why I don’t remember the VIP price. Later that evening, they were advertising penny drinks. I didn’t stick around to see how many dancers and drinkers the promotion attracted.

Despite the name, neither the dancers nor the music were Hispanic during my trip. The dancers on the afternoon shift are young and presentable, nothing scary, nothing spectacular, with a variety of body types. The $15 dances worked for me because there were so few customers that the privacy level was barely below VIP. Mileage was typical for a Phoenix $10 lap dance. The music is loud, but not insanely so like in some places. It was an enjoyable mix of hit songs from mid-80s to the present.
