I was surprised to find Shadow dancing at Joe's Place. She has been out of town for over a year attending to family stuff in Florida, and is back in town for a while. She was always ready for fun at her previous venues, and is a welcome new addition to the emerging Chez Joey portfolio. Speaking of which - one element missing from this club's recent emergence as a leading venue is continuity. They seem to get some outstanding talent, as the Blockist has mentioned in previous reviews, but the really good ones don't seem to stay long. Not sure why - they seem to keep coming but don't make the place a home for long as seems to happen in some of the other top clubs. Oh well, maybe freshness is a virtue - you never know what you'll experience here, but it's usually something good.
