Hit the downtown Spearmint Rhino on...

Hit the downtown Spearmint Rhino on Aug 12 for a friends bachelor party. Cover was $20, which seemed steep for mid-week. Probably could have found coupons, but it was a spur of the moment stop. Most girls were 6-7's with a few 8-10's sprinkled in. Hottest looking girls were the hostesses, but one of them spilled a drink on on e the guys from our party. The club is physically appealing, as is the case with many SR's. Center stage, with good viewing from all angles, and lots of seats at the stage. This can be a double edge sword, several times, we wnet up to tip our favorites, and they did not get around to us. Haven't been around the LA SC scene lately, but compared to other states, it felt like the girls on stage were not working for, or expecting tips. Girls were over agrressive IMHO, and hustled hard. I prefer clubs where the girls will at least attempt to talk, not just walk up and assume you will get a dance from them. Many of the girls appeared to be sitting by themselves, and would only get up once in awhile to wander around instead of spending time with the clientel. Only found 2 gilrs with a freindly enough attitude to get a dance from, and milage was average, though YMMV, since freinds got more dances, and raved. Featured dancer was Kaylani Lei, and they said it was her first perfromace. Not bad, and worth going back to see. She put a lot off effort inot the routine, and had creative coustumes, including a Catwoman outfit. Am moving back to CA, but with $20 cover, and $20/$40 dances, it can be an expensive night.
