I used to be a semi-regular Cheetahs customer but hadn't been inside the club for a few years. Paid my $10 cover plus 2 drink minimum ($4 each) and took my seat by the stage. It was fairly busy for a weeknight with about a dozen girls working. This place usually has some really fine lookers. One thing that bugged me was the hustle factor has definitely increased! As soon as I sat down every dancer in the place, one after the other tried to hit me up for a dance. Geez, I just sat down! Once I withstood the initial onslaught it was ok. Very nice action on the stage, and after each set the dancer walks around the rail to collect her tips. No touching while she's onstage (there is a gap of several feet between it and the rail). After awhile I was finally in the mood for a dance and went to the VIP with a particularly hot Latina, got four dances for $40. Dances were ok (this is ultra conservative San Diego after all), got some good grinding but the dancer must remain clothed. Overall, had a so-so time but the increased hustle did put a damper on things, and I was never a fan of clipped songs and all the restrictions. But the hot girls are definitely worth seeing.
