I went in Stars at 4:00...

I went in Stars at 4:00 on a Thursday, after not visiting the place for quite a while. When I walked in, I almost walked back out because it was so hot. It was a 90 degree day, and it felt like it was just as hot inside Stars as it was outside. Since this place likes to promote itself as an upscale club, they really should install adequate air conditioning. There were only about ten other customers. One rather large gentleman was fanning himself with the club flyers on his table and looked like he was in real discomfort. If the club got crowded later in the evening it must have turned into an oven.

Happy hour was starting, and well drinks and draft beers were 2 for 1. A rum and coke was $5.50 which included a ticket for the second free drink.

Aside from the heat, I thought the place had improved since my last visit. The music was still too loud, but it was not ear-splitting like it had been. The DJ was actually pretty good, unlike the obnoxious idiot that used to be a fixture here.
