My wife and I go to The Lodge fairly regularly, and we always have a good time. The outside isn't much to look at, sort of like a warehouse with a wooden porte-a-cochere on the side. The inside, however, is clean and comfortable. I could do with a little less cheesy theming (the stuffed animal heads and antler chandeliers are a little hokey), but the chairs are comfortable, the tables are cleam, and the lighting is appropriately dim. There are two main rooms. The first room has the main stage (with a cave at the back, once again, a little cheesy). The Library is smaller, with a lower ceiling and smaller stage.

The food is excellent---not strip club good, restaurant good. The drinks are typical strip-club pricing, more than you would pay at a normal bar, but not crazy expensive. I think a Tanqueray G&T runs about $9.00 during happy hours and $12.00 during other times. Saturday night is Couples Night, with no cover for couples and a great deal on dinner---$25.00 gets you two entrees and drinks are happy hour priced until 9:00. If your wife or girlfriend likes going to clubs, its probably the best date deal anywhere in the city.

During slower times, they run two stages, with dancers starting in the main room for two songs and then moving to the Library for two more songs. When things get busier, they have two more stages in the main room that they start using. During dances, you take dollars to the stage, and you will get some personal attention from the dancers. The level of attention varies widely. Some dancers will just get down to eye level and talk to you for a few seconds, others will do what my wife calls the "booby face smash." Going to the stage is the best way to get a dancer to visit your table. I usually give $3.00 and point out where we are sitting.
