Tried Gallagher's on the 4th(-5th). Was there from about 11:30 PM until nearly closing. I've been to G2K a number of times; it's almost the only place I go to, and I don't go much. I have to say this was the weakest showing, in terms of club energy and the number and selection of dancers. Of course, that's fair: how many people go to a strip club on the 4th? But there was something to work with. Half the club was in chair-stacked disuse, but the main bar had about 10-12 girls on rotation, the vast majority Russian or from ex-CIS countries, including an underwhelming Uzbek whom no one was asking for dances, but was handing out $10 massages. I'd say there were four genuine hotties: a fresh-looking, soap-commercial Moscow blond named Stella who gave a decent dance; two long, pretty, raven, writhy creatures I didn't hit up; and this absolutely smoking superslut who became an object of frustration. I didn't notice her until late in the night -- around 2:00 AM -- because she wasn't getting on stage. The whole thing was fucked and it was making its way to 4:00 AM. I got so bothered I gave in to a dance from a square-jawed Ukrainian who wouldn't let me roam her overripe body.
