While there's a certain appeal to a dive bar, this one didn't quite measure up last night, in my opinion.
Green Light is located in an area of Louisville that was once probably zoned as light industrial, but now has strip clubs, adult book stores and a big flea market that I've never seen open. There's also residential area up 7th Street Rd, but it's not an area I'd choose to live in.
Went to Green Light at about 9, and stayed until about 10. I was one of 3 customers, which low number might be attributable to people going to the night races at Churchill Downs instead of a strip club. I did not stay to see if more people showed up later. There was no cover when I went in, nor was there anyone even watching the door. When I left, there was a guy sort of hanging out at the door, and I only presume he was an employee because I'd earlier seen him transferring beer from storage to the bar area.
