Chez Joey... historically unique, currently not too bad. The Blockist has written before of the hidden 3-dimensional representation of Paris night club life of the 1890s, created by a Baltimore artist of the 1920s - ask to see it!
More to the point of interest of subscribers to TUSCL, however, is the renaissance of good block-style fun being brought back by bartender Nicole and the owners. The Lap Dance Sofa is a typical example of the innovative style of the new Chez Joey. I was pleasantly surprised recently at the return of Shadow after nearly a year away from the Block. She prevously danced at a number of other venues, but never before at Joe's Place - welcome back, Shadow! Several other recent additions to the dance staff lineup have resulted in good times for the Blockist on a number of recent occasions.
